Peanut planting time in the north

In the northern region, peanuts are generally planted in spring, that is, between late March and late April, and can be harvested from late August to early October. This period is also the best harvest period for plastic film peanuts. However, in the northern region, it is most suitable to harvest after September.

Peanut Planting Methods in the North

1. Select a site: Peanuts are generally planted in sandy soil because this type of soil is loose and can help it take root better. Before sowing, it is best to deep plow the soil and apply appropriate amounts of fertilizer.

2. Temperature control: When planting peanuts, it is necessary to do so when the temperature is relatively stable. Around April is the most suitable time. It is not advisable to plant in advance because the temperature changes are not very stable.

3. Water and fertilizer management: Peanuts are relatively drought-resistant, so the requirements for water and fertilizer are not very high. During maintenance, in order to achieve high yields, topdressing is required in a timely manner, and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be used.

Precautions for planting peanuts in the north

When planting peanuts, you must be careful not to plant them too deep. Generally, 3-7 cm is enough. In addition, the seeds need to be dried 2-3 days before sowing, and some pesticides need to be applied. This way, a large number of diseases and pests can be avoided after sowing.
