How to Plant Clover Seeds

How to Plant Clover Seeds

1. Sowing time

Spring and autumn are the best seasons. The temperature rises to around 15 degrees Celsius in March and April, and autumn is mid-to-late September.

2. Seed treatment

The seeds should be soaked before planting, as the treated seeds are easier to germinate.

Specific method (introducing the amount of one kilogram of seeds, adjusted according to the proportion): find a container, put one gram of ammonium molybdate and one and a half kilograms of water into it and soak it together for about twelve hours; prepare fine soil and yellow sand and fertilizer, mix them together and set aside for sowing.

3. Sowing Method

1. Find a paper cup and make a drain hole at the bottom. Pour the processed substrate above, about 70% full, put in the seeds, about 18 seeds, cover with a layer of fine soil, and then water until the substrate is moist.

2. During the seed germination process, water the seeds once a day to ensure that the soil is moist. You can see seedlings growing about three to five days after planting the seeds. There is no need to spray water, and they should not be placed directly in the sun. They can be placed next to the bed or in other sunny places.

4. Post-maintenance

1. Temperature

Clover likes sunny, warm and humid places, and it is necessary to provide it with a living environment with good drainage and suitable temperature. The temperature can be controlled below room temperature, between 19 and 24 degrees, and it should be placed indoors in winter.

2. Moisture

Clover is relatively moisture-resistant. Except for daily watering, it will not die immediately if there is accidental water accumulation. It can tolerate water accumulation and full shade for more than a month, but its ornamental value is not as good as that of normal protection.

3. Fertilization

Leguminous plants have rhizobia and can grow alone. When rhizobia have not formed in the roots, liquid fertilizer should be applied to supplement nutrients and strengthen the growth of seedlings.
