How to propagate blue flax by cuttings

How to propagate blue flax by cuttings

Time for cuttings

This kind of flower can be propagated by cuttings. The best time is when the growth conditions are better, but before it blooms. Because both the temperature and the surrounding environment during this period are more suitable for plant growth, it is easier for the plants to survive after a successful operation. There is no need to control the environment around it too much for it to grow well.

The process of cuttings

The selected branches cannot be too tender. If they are too tender, their survival cannot be guaranteed because their ability to absorb nutrients has not yet reached the level to survive on their own. But you cannot choose plants that are already sick. This needs no explanation. You cannot let them be sick from the beginning. However, the temperature must be maintained during the cutting process, because if it is lower than 18℃, it will not take root. But it cannot be too high either. If the temperature exceeds 25℃, the cut ends will easily be infected by bacteria and may even cause the cut ends to rot. So the amount of noodles must be controlled well.

It is best to disinfect before starting, then apply rooting reagent, and wait until the lower part of the plant is dry before you can start cuttings. Water the plants immediately after cuttings are taken, so that the substrate can better combine with the cuttings and ensure the water needed for the plant's early survival.

Maintenance after cutting

In the beginning, shade is needed because the plants may not adapt to the surrounding environment. When the plant growth is relatively stable, the shade device can be slowly removed and normal maintenance can begin. In addition to this method, of course you can also choose sowing, but relatively speaking, this method is simpler and faster.
