Reproduction method of Rhododendron aviculare

Cuttings

Preparation before cutting

If you have already planted this kind of flower at home, it is better to use this method. It can save time and the chance of survival is relatively high, so this is a better choice. Planting is usually done in May or June, and the cuttings should be cut to 5-8cm long. After disinfecting, drying, and dipping in rooting powder, you can start cuttings.

Steps of cutting

The prepared cuttings should be inserted into soil with good air permeability, and the temperature should be controlled at 20-25℃ as much as possible, and then provide appropriate shade. This will allow the cuttings to slowly adapt to the surrounding environment in the initial period of time. After the plant growth is stable, the shading can be cancelled. Another thing to note is that you must water it more when it is just planted, so that it will not lack water during the initial period of growth.

Twigs

Preparation before operation

In addition to the above methods, using young branches is also a good way of propagation. This method only requires cutting to 3-4cm, because the branches are not inserted into the soil, but connected to the rootstock, and the rootstock can be Maojuan. Before splicing, cut the lower part into a wedge shape to make splicing easier.

Steps

First, cut the part of the rootstock to be spliced into the same shape as the base of the young branch, then splice the two together, and then tie them together with plastic. Cover the outside with a layer of moisturizing plastic bag. If you feel that the moisturizing effect is not in place, you can spray water in time, which can not only ensure the surrounding humidity, but also allow them to absorb more water.

Okay, now that you understand these two methods, you can put them into practice when the time comes.
