How to plant Huanghua Cassia seeds

How to plant Huanghua Cassia seeds

1. Sowing time

The fruits of Cassia toraja ripen every season. The ripe fruits are gray-brown in color and will not fall off by themselves. They will stay on the tree until you pick them. You can pick them when you plant them. But the chances of maturing and sprouting are greater in autumn. If it cannot be planted in time, it can be stored after drying in the shade.

2. Sowing Method

1. Soak the mature seeds in 45-degree warm water. After the water temperature cools down, soak them for another 12 hours and then remove them for later use.

2. You can adopt the row sowing method. Choose land with soft and nutritious soil for trimming, clean up large stones and impurities, dig a few drainage ditches with a width of about 25 cm, sprinkle the seeds, and cover with one centimeter of soil. Water until the soil is soaked

3. Normally, seeds will start to germinate ten days after sowing, and all seeds will germinate in twenty days at the latest.

3. Post-maintenance

1. After the seedlings emerge from the soil, they can be transplanted when their feathery leaves have not yet fully expanded. Transfer the seedlings, being careful not to damage the roots.

2. In the six months after the seedlings emerge, apply thin fertilizer every month, such as urea, once a month, and they can be transplanted after one year.

3. This plant likes high temperature and high humidity environment. It grows faster with sunlight, but the varieties that can resist wind and sand have strong adaptability. They are not sensitive to sunlight and can grow in semi-shady environment, but they cannot resist wind. Pay attention to wind protection during the seedling stage.

4. It has low requirements for fertility and water. After being planted in the later stage, it can survive in roadsides and barren mountains with medium to low fertility. When caring for it, it is better to have drought than to have too much water, because it can adapt to slightly dry ground, but excessive waterlogging will cause death. Homegrown farming is less hassle.
