How to plant the seeds of yellow rose

How to plant the seeds of yellow rose

1. Seed treatment

1. Not all seeds can germinate. Only single-petal seeds can be sown. Because the seed coat of this plant is very thick, it is not easy to germinate, and the thick seed coat blocks the entry of water. Treat the seeds before planting.

2. The time to process the seeds is around May or June so that they can be planted next year.

3. Choose a high ground with good drainage and dig a pit 1.2 to 1.5 meters deep with a diameter of one meter. 4. Prepare a basin of warm water at about 65 degrees, soak the seeds for an hour, take them out and sterilize them with potassium permanganate for two hours. Take it out and wash it with clean water.

5. Wet the sand and fill the bottom of the pit with 20 centimeters. Sterilize the river sand and mix it with the seeds, mixing one part of seeds with three parts of sand until no water is produced.

6. Find an early morning (when the temperature is relatively low) and pour the mixture of seeds and sand into the pit. When it is about 25 centimeters away from the mouth of the pit, cover it with sand. The top layer of sand should be almost level with the pit. Insert several ventilation devices in the pit and cover it with a straw mat.

7. Add another 20 centimeters of weed shreds on the mat. Dig drainage ditches around the pit to prevent water accumulation due to rain, watering, etc.

8. After the storage sand pit is completed, you can wait for the seeds to germinate in spring. You cannot be idle during this period. You must measure the temperature and humidity regularly. If the temperature rises too quickly, you must check whether the seeds are moldy. Unless there are special circumstances, 30% of the seeds will crack next year. Take out the seeds before sowing and sow them.

2. Sowing Method

1. Choose a flat, sunny, well-drained, fertile sandy soil, turn the soil to make it loose, and then trim and sterilize the site after fertilizing.

2. Spring sowing is usually carried out in April. When the temperature rises, start watering the land a few days in advance. When the water is half dry and soft, put the seeds in and cover with one centimeter of soil. You can press the soil surface slightly, control the water, fertilizer and temperature, and wait for the seedlings to emerge.
