How to propagate pink roses

How to propagate pink roses

Cutting propagation

Method: Cut off the branches, stems and other parts of the plant and insert them into the substrate we have prepared (mostly sandy soil). After they take root, they can be planted separately to make them independent plants. This method is very commonly used, so we describe it in detail.

Note: First of all, when selecting materials, you should choose those strong branches without diseases and insect pests as cuttings. After selecting, you must carefully handle them. The tenderer branches should be cut and used for cuttings immediately to avoid them wilting and affecting the effect. In addition, temperature control is also very important. If the temperature is too high, the cut will easily rot, and if it is too low, the growth will be very slow. It is easier to take root within the range of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. Also, pay attention to controlling the humidity. After cuttings, make sure the substrate is kept moist. Covering with plastic film is a better way to retain moisture.

Propagation by division

This method involves cutting off the parts of the plant where the branches that grow from the roots, stems, and other parts are connected to the mother plant, and then planting them separately so that they each become independent new plants. This method is very simple, easy to implement, and has a relatively high success rate, so it is widely used in gardening.

Layering propagation

This method is to press its branches into moist soil and wait for them to take root. After the roots grow, they can be separated from the mother plant to form new small plants. This method has a higher success rate.

Seed propagation

This method is not particularly common because it is difficult to survive when grown from seeds, so generally speaking, we do not recommend this method.
