How to Make Redbud Bloom for Christmas

How to Make Redbud Bloom for Christmas

1. Water control

When winter just begins, the amount of watering is also very important. It is necessary to water it appropriately at this time. The evaporation of Bauhinia is relatively small at this time, so it is generally not necessary to water it frequently. However, when the soil is relatively dry, give it a little water. If the temperature is particularly low, it is best to water it just after noon, so that it can grow well and bloom on time for Christmas.

2. Temperature

Although it is relatively tolerant to cold, its seedlings cannot withstand temperatures that are too low, so the temperature must be controlled at this time. Otherwise, it will easily enter a dormant state and its growth will be slower, which is not conducive to its better flowering. Generally, just keep the temperature at around 16 degrees, so temperature is also very important for it to bloom successfully.

3. Reasonable fertilization

At this time, it will enter a dormant state, so the need for fertilizer is relatively small. Therefore, you should stop fertilizing it or reduce the amount of fertilizer appropriately at this time, because if too much fertilizer is applied, it will easily cause its roots to rot. Therefore, you must control the amount of fertilizer in winter so that more beautiful flowers can bloom.

4. Lighting

Bauhinia itself prefers places with lots of sunlight, so it must be given enough sunlight at the beginning of winter. If there is not enough sunlight, it will suffer from malnutrition. Generally, when there is sunshine at noon in winter, we put it in a place with more sunshine, so that it can get more sunlight and be exposed more evenly. So sunlight is also indispensable to it.
