Cultivation methods and precautions of Begonia truncatula

Growth habit

If you want to grow this unique plant well, you must spend some time to understand its characteristics. This plant originally grew in Brazil and eastern India, growing in shallow soil with humus in rock crevices. They like warm places and cannot withstand temperatures that are too low.

Maintenance points

temperature

As mentioned above, this plant does not like temperatures that are too low, but what is the appropriate temperature? The most suitable temperature for them is 22-25℃, but be careful, the temperature should not be too high. If it exceeds 32℃, they will grow slowly. Therefore, if friends in the north want to grow this plant, they must choose potted plants. In this way, you can't wait until winter, you can bring it indoors for cultivation in autumn, and the temperature in winter must not be lower than 10℃.

Placement

For friends in the north who grow plants indoors, you can place them on the north balcony or under the eaves from May to October, or on the north windowsill. These locations will not be exposed to sunlight for a long time, so the leaves will not be burned by excessive light. In addition to light, they should also be placed in a location with good air circulation. In winter, you can place it on the south balcony. There is less sunlight in winter, and it will not work if you place it in a place where it cannot get much light. Flower lovers all know this.

Water and fertilizer management

When applying fertilizer, be careful not to get it on the leaves, otherwise it may burn the leaves. If it is accidentally splashed on it, immediately wipe off the fertilizer with clean water. Pay special attention in winter and spray the leaves with clean water once every five days to prevent dust or smoke from sticking to them.
