Cultivation methods and precautions of thin column grass

Cultivation methods and precautions of thin column grass

1. How to breed

Sowing: Sowing is generally the method often used in business, but the plants grown by this method grow relatively slowly and are more prone to mutation, so this method is not very reliable and is generally used less often.

Cuttings: In addition to propagation by sowing, we can also use cuttings. We can take down its stems, which are 2.5 to 5 cm long. Then use its stems as cuttings, insert them in a not particularly large flowerpot, and then cover them with a plastic bag. Place it in a brightly lit place and keep the temperature at 16 degrees. If the cuttings grow again, it means that they have taken root. At this time, we can transplant each group of cuttings into an 8 cm shallow pot, and then start cultivating them as mature plants.

Spreading stems: Generally, its reproduction time is basically in spring and autumn. We will cut off its longer stems and branches, cut them into small sections, and then spread them on sandy soil. After spraying water on them, we will cover them with film to keep them moist. After about 6 to 10 months, they will fill the entire pot, and then we can transplant them separately. A great number of plants have been propagated using this method.

2. How to manage

Generally, when choosing potting soil, people usually choose those with good drainage. They can mix garden soil, leaf mold, etc. together to make it. During the period from spring to when the fruits are ripe, it is best to place them in a sunny place that is sheltered from wind and rain. When the flowers bloom, artificial pollination is usually necessary.

3. Notes

In order to make it grow better, its humidity must be increased. We can sprinkle some water around it. From flowering to fruiting, we should spray water at least 1 to 2 times a day, but be careful not to have water accumulation on the leaves. The amount of water also needs to be controlled well, just keep the soil slightly moist and fresh.
