Soil preparationThe best soil for the growth of white birds is neutral or slightly acidic in pH, the soil texture should be loose, and it should contain rich organic calcium. At the same time, it should not contain a large amount of fine dust, the fertilizer should be mild and not burn the roots, and it should not contain uncomposted organic matter. Generally, the most common method of one ratio of peat soil and perlite is adopted. For young plants and white birds that have just been divided, softer peat soil should be used to make it easier for new plants to take root. For adult plants over 2 years old, the ratio of sand and particles should be slightly increased when mixing the soil. The ratio of peat soil, sand and particles should be one to one to one. Fertilizer preparationFertilization of white birds is generally carried out in spring and autumn. Fertilization should not be done in summer due to the high temperature and humidity. It is also not suitable to apply large amounts of fertilizer in winter. You just need to keep the soil dry. Be sure to control the concentration of fertilizer and adhere to the principle of "better light than concentrated". It is better to dilute the fertilizer concentration and apply it several times than to risk applying concentrated fertilizer all at once. Taking oil cake as an example, the concentration can be prepared like this: first crush the oil cake, then add 8 to 10 times of water, after sufficient fermentation, take the upper layer of clear water, and then dilute it 20 to 30 times before use. Other organic fertilizers include animal manure, etc. Chemical fertilizers such as urea, ammonium sulfate, and potassium dihydrogen phosphate can also be used. In addition, some traditional fertilizers among the people, such as leftover food and soup, milk and soy milk, should not be used as fertilizers for white birds. Fertilization methodsFertilizer cannot be applied directly to the stems and leaves of the plant. After applying the fertilizer, they must be sprayed with clean water immediately. Newly divided white bird seedlings cannot be fertilized within one month because they need to adapt to the soil. Before using fertilizer, you must first make the potting soil as dry as possible and ensure that it is breathable and permeable to water to prevent root lack of oxygen and necrosis after fertilization. Then take out some plants that are not growing well or may have root problems to avoid serious diseases and insect pests. Finally, loosen the soil to ensure that the roots can fully absorb fertilizer and water before applying fertilizer. |
