How to fertilize coral

How to fertilize coral

Growth period

During its growing period, you can apply fertilizer once every half a month. At this time, you can use special fertilizers and dilute them according to the instructions of the fertilizer.

Before flowering

If you want the flowers to bloom more delicately and beautifully, and if there is no shortage of nutrients during this period, you should fertilize them before flowering. You can choose fertilizers that are mainly phosphorus fertilizers.

winter

It is best to apply fertilizer about once every thirty days in winter. If the temperature is too low, you can stop fertilizing.

For newly planted plants or after repotting and changing the soil, you need to give the plants some time to grow and ensure that they have survived before applying fertilizer.

During the period from February to March each year, additional fertilizer should be applied. Liquid fertilizer with high potassium and phosphorus content should be selected to help the plant enter the flowering period earlier.

All fertilization should be combined with watering to prevent the soil from being too wet, which may cause plant diseases and pests. Also, when fertilizing, avoid splashing fertilizer onto the surface of the plants, as this can easily cause the plants to rot. Also, keep fertilizer away from the roots.

Precautions

It is best to apply fertilizer when the weather is clear.

In addition to applying fertilizer to increase nutrition, fertile soil is also very important. When choosing soil, you can refer to the following ratio: 3 parts of vermiculite (or coarse sand) + 1 part of garden soil + 2 parts of leaf mold + an appropriate amount of bone meal. Mix well and you can plant plants.
