How to remedy the drooping leaves of Daphne koreana and what is the reason

How to remedy the drooping leaves of Daphne koreana and what is the reason

1. Replace the soil

Reason: The drooping of its leaves may be due to problems with the potting soil. The air and water permeability of the soil are too poor, which will hinder breathing over time. The whole plant will appear listless and the leaves will droop.

Remedy: If the soil is not suitable, remove the plant from the pot as soon as possible. Replace with new soil and start maintenance. Note that the soil should be breathable, loose and relatively fertile. It will grow better and more vigorously in such a soil environment.

2. Prune the roots

Reason: Frequent watering during management will cause the soil to be moist for a long time, and there may even be water accumulation, which will hinder the breathing of the root system. Over time, the root system will have problems and will easily rot. When the roots rot, the leaves will droop and turn yellow.

Remedy: It is recommended to remove the plant from the pot as soon as possible, trim off the rotten roots, branches and leaves, and replant it after disinfection. In the later stage, be sure to reduce the amount of water and remember not to allow water to accumulate.

3. Scientific fertilization

Reason: If fertilizer is applied too frequently during management, or too much fertilizer is applied at one time, and the concentration is too high, it will easily burn the roots and the leaves will droop.

Remedy: If you apply too much fertilizer or the concentration is too high, water the soil as soon as possible to dilute the fertilizer and drain it out. Pay attention to reducing fertilization in the later stage. It is recommended to dilute it with clean water after each application so that it can be absorbed as soon as possible.
