Growing flowers is not that difficult. If you do these things well, even a novice can grow anything.

Growing flowers is not that difficult. If you do these things well, even a novice can grow anything.

Soil mix suitable for most flowers

Did you just dig some soil outside and plant flowers? This is actually wrong. The garden soil dug from outside is not only not breathable, it is also likely to contain various bacteria and insect eggs, which will cause trouble in the future!
If you must use garden soil, it is best to spread the soil on the ground and expose it to the sun for 1 to 2 days before use. And before use, be sure to mix it with large-particle river sand. The ratio can be 2:1 or 1:1 to improve the air permeability of the soil. Of course, Huahua still recommends that everyone prepare the nutrient soil by themselves, because this will ensure the survival rate of the flowers, especially for some flower killers. The configuration ratio is leaf mold (or peat soil): garden soil: river sand: bone meal = 7:6:6:1.

Be careful when watering!

Now that we have talked about soil, the next thing to talk about is watering. In fact, Huahua has mentioned the principle of watering many times: don’t water if the soil is not dry, and water thoroughly when you need to. This means that you should wait until 2 to 3 cm of the soil surface is completely dry, and then water it thoroughly, that is, the water will flow out from the small holes below. How to judge? 1: You can use a toothpick or cotton swab to insert 2 to 3 cm into the soil, wait quietly for about 10 minutes, then take it out to see if it is dry. If it is dry, it means it is time to water it. If it is moist, wait a few days before watering. 2: If you find the toothpick method troublesome, you can lift the flower pot and weigh it. If it becomes noticeably lighter, it means it is time to water it.

The lighting should be appropriate

In addition to soil and watering, light is also important. However, different plants have different requirements for light. However, they are definitely afraid of being exposed to the scorching sun. Therefore, it is best to shade your flowers and plants at noon in summer. At other times, there is generally no problem if you put them in a sunny place. There are several situations where they cannot be exposed to direct sunlight.
1. Flowers and plants that have just been repotted, moved, or potted should be placed in diffuse light for 1 to 3 days. 2. When bulbous plants are taking root, the bulbs should be wrapped. They can only take root quickly in a dark environment!

Flower pots can also affect the life and death of flowers and plants!

In addition to light, water and soil, flower pots can also affect the growth of flowers and plants. Currently, people generally use plastic flower pots because they are cheap and light.
Plastic flower pots are lightweight, durable, easy to use, and have smooth walls, making them easy to change pots, and they are also convenient to wash and disinfect. The only drawback is that it is not breathable, but in view of this, plastic flower pots have also made improvements, and many more small holes have been opened at the bottom to increase breathability~ Ceramic pots and clay pots have good breathability, but are relatively heavy. If the flowers at home are not moved often, you can choose them~ In addition, there is also a kind of porcelain pot and glazed pot. This kind of flower pot is not breathable and does not seep water, so it is not recommended for novices to use, but you can use porcelain pots and glazed pots as a decoration by putting them on the outside of the flower pot~

Don’t ignore the temperature!

Temperature is also of paramount importance in flower cultivation. Generally, the suitable growth temperature for flowers and plants is around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. When the temperature exceeds 30 degrees in summer, cooling measures must be taken, otherwise the flowers and plants may go dormant, and in serious cases may even die~ For example, the succulents that everyone knows! Did you remember these points? If you don't remember it, please remember it carefully~
