How to plant mangosteen

Soil environment

When planting mangosteen, it is best to choose soil with more nutrients and a thicker soil layer. And no matter you are planting on a barren mountain or in the fields, there must be a very convenient water source nearby. In addition, we need to remove the weeds in the land before planting, dig the land about 30 centimeters, then add human and animal manure, process the fertilizer well and spread it evenly, and then dig a drainage ditch.

Clean the whip and loosen the soil

After planting mangosteen, it is necessary to loosen the soil and clean the bamboo shoots once in July or August every year. That is, when loosening the soil for the plant, the old or poorly growing bamboo shoots should be removed. This is mainly because mangosteen bamboo shoots can generally only germinate for 4 years. After processing, we must use organic fertilizer to increase the nutrition of mangosteen in time so that new bamboo shoots can grow quickly and well. In the second year of planting, we need to keep the mother bamboos, generally about 600 mother bamboos per acre.

Planting Tips

After growing mangosteen as mother bamboo, you must always pay attention to the fertilizer and water conditions. Mangosteen likes moisture and heat, so once the ground is dry, it must be watered in time, but water accumulation should not be allowed. Another thing is that mangosteen is more prone to orpiment disease, which usually occurs during its growth period. Once discovered, it must be sprayed with pesticides immediately to avoid affecting its future growth.
