The beautiful-leaved pineapple is an ornamental pineapple whose seeds can be collected through artificial pollination. This method of seed propagation is generally not used much and is often used in cultivating new varieties and preserving germplasm. Generally, this method is to harvest and sow immediately, using flower pots or seedling trays for sowing. The soil is generally a mixture of peat, perlite and river sand, which is disinfected before use. Division

This method requires waiting until the flowers fade and then wrapping around the suckers. When they grow to 10 cm and have 3 to 5 leaves, take the plant out of the pot and break off the suckers with your hands. After disinfecting the removed suckers, place them in a cool place to dry, then put them in coarse sand and perlite to keep the air and soil moist. New roots will grow after one or two months.

Cuttings

In our family planting, we generally use the method of cutting propagation. Cut off the sucker buds that grow before and after flowering, when the buds are about 10 cm long and have 3 to 5 leaves. After cleaning and disinfecting the wound, plant the cuttings into the substrate, provide appropriate shade and keep the air and soil moist. Generally, new roots will grow after one or two months and then you can manage it normally.
