Marjoram cultivation methods and precautions

Marjoram cultivation methods and precautions

1. Maintenance methods

1. Substrate selection: The soil should be neutral, and it prefers fertile and well-drained sandy soil, or deep soil.

2. Light management: Marjoram likes plenty of sunlight, but remember not to expose it to strong light, otherwise it will cause unnecessary trouble to its growth.

3. Temperature management: Marjoram prefers cool climatic conditions and has very poor cold resistance. The suitable temperature for seed germination is 16-18 degrees, and the most suitable temperature for growth is 18-28 degrees.

4. Nutrient management: When planting, turn the soil down about 30 cm, add decomposed organic fertilizer, calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, and mix well with the soil.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Sowing: When cultivating, you can directly sow seeds, 3 seeds in each pit. It is necessary to strengthen the management and control of water. When the seedlings grow to 2-3 cm in height, thinning should be carried out to promote their growth.

2. Transplanting: Seedlings can be transplanted when they are about 10 cm tall, with a spacing of about 20 cm. When Marjoram is growing, it is sufficient to use fertilizer once every 2 months.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Root rot: If there is water accumulation in the soil or prolonged rain, the roots will rot. Just water sparingly to keep the soil moist, but don't let the plants get too dry, otherwise it will be detrimental to their growth.

2. Frostbite: Marjoram has poor cold resistance and the temperature should not be too low. Be sure to pay attention to temperature control, otherwise it will get frostbite.

IV. Other issues

1. Can it be raised at home: Marjoram can be raised at home. It has strong vitality and reproductive ability. The technical requirements for raising it are not high. As long as you are willing to put in the effort, the survival rate is quite high.

2. Is it poisonous? Marjoram is not poisonous. It is an ornamental plant that can purify the air, beautify the environment, or be a potted plant for viewing.
