How many kilograms of lettuce are generally produced per acre? Yield and profit per acre

Lettuce yield per mu

Lettuce is a fast-growing vegetable. The yield varies with different varieties. Under normal circumstances, the yield per mu is between 2,000 and 3,000 jin. Early-maturing varieties are estimated to produce 1,000 to 1,500 kilograms per mu, and medium- and late-maturing varieties are estimated to produce 2,500 kilograms per mu.

Prospects for Lettuce Planting

Currently, the market demand for lettuce is relatively large and it has good planting prospects. In addition, lettuce is easy to grow and has a low investment cost. It can usually be harvested and sold in about three months. According to the current market conditions, the net profit of an acre of lettuce field is approximately maintained at around 6,000 yuan.

Although the prospects for growing lettuce are relatively high, there are relatively many growers, so the competition is very fierce. If you want to invest in lettuce planting, you must do a risk assessment in advance and learn professional planting techniques to ensure the stability of your own income.

How to grow lettuce for high yield

1. Seedling cultivation

Before raising lettuce seedlings, it is necessary to ensure that the soil in the seedbed is sufficiently moist, and try to control the temperature at 18°C during the day and around 15°C at night. When the seedlings grow out, they should be transplanted according to a plant spacing of 6 cm and a row spacing of 7 cm. Note that during the growth period of the seedlings, a certain concentration of Benomyl should be sprayed regularly to kill pathogens.

2. Fertilization

It is best to choose decomposed organic fertilizer rich in organic matter as fertilizer for lettuce. About 3,000 kilograms can be applied per mu of field. During this period, it is also necessary to apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and an appropriate amount of micro-fertilizers. During the topdressing process of lettuce, appropriate supplements should be made according to the growth of the plants. About 20 kilograms of compound fertilizer can be applied per mu of field.

3. Management

After fertilizing the lettuce, deep plowing and careful cultivation should be carried out to enable the plants to better absorb nutrients. In addition, lettuce has a large demand for water. Although it does not need to be watered deliberately during the seedling period, it must be watered once after planting to slow down the growth of the seedlings. Note that before the lettuce is picked after it is mature, the addition of fertilizer and watering should be stopped.
