These flowers are pruned as soon as autumn comes, and the buds keep popping up

1. Jasmine

1. In early September, most of the third batch of jasmine flowers of the year have already faded. If pruning is not done in time, it will affect the plant shape and also reduce the number of the fourth batch of flowers in October.

2. Cut off the branches marked with red lines in the picture above, which are the branches after flowering and the branches that are too long. The overlapping branches inside should also be trimmed in time to ensure internal ventilation.

2. Osmanthus

1. Cut off the top branches, and many new buds will sprout, and the plant will not appear so sparse afterwards. Then cut off the weak branches, that is, those thin and weak branches.

2. Cut off overlapping branches, that is, branches that are very close to each other and grow in the same direction. Prune off branches that are too dense to avoid blocking the sunlight on the inner branches.

3. Kalanchoe

1. Now is not the flowering season for Kalanchoe, so it is a good time to prune it. Cut off the branches that have grown too long in the summer. The branches above the red dotted line in the picture below are all too long branches. Only by pinching them off can healthy new buds sprout from the sides.

2. The leaves of Kalanchoe are thick and easy to rot, so cut off the black and rotten branches immediately.

4. Succulents

1. Succulent plants died a lot in the summer, and even those that survived almost all grew too tall. In this case, you can use sharp scissors to cut the overgrown branches in the middle.

2. After cutting, apply carbendazim on the wound. Place in a cool and ventilated place to dry. After the wound has dried, you can insert it into the sand to take root.

3. The stake that was originally chopped off will soon produce sprouts.

5. Pothos

1. After some branches have grown for a long time, some will gradually dry up. Such branches are no longer useful and will breed bacteria. Better to cut it off.

2. Yellow leaves are not only unsightly, but also waste nutrients, so they should all be cut off.

6. Rose

1. Where the rose is cut, that's where it will sprout. Generally, concentrated pruning is carried out from late August to early September, and the flowers can be seen in October.

2. As shown in the picture above, cut off the overgrown branches marked by red arrows, blind branches that have not grown for a long time, and weak and diseased branches. So that more side buds can sprout later.

3. Bury the cut branches in plain sand and water them thoroughly to grow more rose seedlings.

7. Areca palm

1. The leaves of the Areca palm are like feathers, with many leaflets. If they are not trimmed regularly, they will grow very messy. Like the plant in the picture below, the small branches and leaves circled in red at the bottom generally grow very slowly and turn yellow easily. These can be cut off.

2. When the plant shape is too scattered, you can tie it up with a slightly wider belt and then loosen it after it has taken shape.

8. Peace Tree

1. Like the peace lily in the picture below, the top bud grows too high, the upper part is sparse and the lower part is dense, which makes the overall look unbalanced. Cut off the overgrown top branches, which are the parts marked with red lines.

2. Then properly trim the dense branches inside. The final shape will be round and smooth, and the interior will be well ventilated and breathable, which can reduce the phenomenon of yellowing leaves.

9. Dieffenbachia

1. For leaves marked in the red frame, yellow leaves should be removed in time. If the branches and stems under the leaves feel a little soft when pinched, cut them off together.

2. The sugarcane-like stem nodes in the blue frame can be cut into several sections and inserted into the flowerpot. They can sprout new buds and make the part close to the pot surface look less empty.

10. Gardenia

1. Cut off the overgrown branches to make the overall look harmonious. Like the red circle part in the picture below, it needs to be cut off to make it consistent with the surrounding branches.

2. If the branches are too dense and there is no ventilation inside, the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. Therefore, some of the excess branches inside should be cut off. Pay attention to follow the branches and stems to sort out the position, and cut off some on all sides.

11. Asparagus fern

1. Asparagus fern is a plant whose leaves turn yellow easily. It is impossible for leaves that have turned yellow to return to green, so it is best to cut them off.

2. Keep the branches 15 cm above the soil surface and cut off all the others. Place it in a ventilated and cool place, such as a north balcony, and the asparagus fern will grow many new shoots in about a month.

12. Lucky Tree

1. If the lucky tree is not properly maintained, the branches will droop, which looks very ugly. Like the one in the picture below, you can cut off all the branches and leaves and only keep the main trunk.

2. The lucky tree grown indoors usually grows too tall, with thin and weak branches and stems. In this case, the overgrown branches need to be cut short to prevent them from being too tall and falling over.

13. Geranium

1. For the sake of simplicity and understanding, the pruning of geraniums is demonstrated using the small seedlings in the picture below. The part above the red line should be cut off. After removing the top bud, 2 to 3 new buds can grow from the incision, making the overall look fuller.

2. The old leaves at the bottom have turned yellow, and geraniums can no longer carry out photosynthesis, so they can be cut off at this time. Also cut off the denser inner leaves to prevent bacterial growth.

14. Tiger Skin Plant

1. Now it is time for the snake plant to produce cubs. If it is allowed to grow densely, moisture will not be easily dissipated, which can easily lead to black rot.

2. As shown in the picture below, the young tiger tail orchids have grown out. Dig them out carefully. Then cut off the leaves that are too high to maintain the overall beauty.

3. Replant in the soil.

15. Ficus microcarpa

1. The fiddle-leaf fig grows fast. If it is not taken care of for a long time, it will look messy like the picture below. The fiddle-leaf fig is usually pruned into a lollipop shape.

2. First, cut off the lateral branches in the lower part. Note that the incision should be slanted to ensure that no water droplets remain on the cross section when watering. Otherwise it will become waterlogged and rot.

3. This is the shape after trimming. Every month, top the upper part appropriately to stimulate the growth of side buds and make the plant fuller.

16. Christmas cactus

1. Cut off the withered and rotten stem nodes.

Sometimes, due to excess nutrients, several new nodes will grow on one node. At this time, you should appropriately cut off 1-2 nodes and just cut off the relatively weak ones.

2. If the Christmas cactus plant is too large and looks messy, you can cut off some of the stem nodes and replant it in the pot.

Or you can use thick wire to make a circle, tie a wooden stick to it and place it in the soil to support the Christmas cactus branches.

17. Fuchsia

1. When the height of the entire plant grows to about 30cm, it is necessary to top and pinch the heart to maintain a beautiful plant shape.

The redundant branches in the red frame, the overlapping branches in the blue frame, and the overgrown branches in the yellow frame in the picture below should all be pruned off to promote the growth of side branches and make the plant fuller.

18. Azalea

1. Rhododendron has a strong ability to sprout. When you see small buds coming out from the base, wipe them off in time. Otherwise, they will compete with the whole plant for nutrients and cause yellowing and falling leaves.

2. Refer to the red line position in the picture below for shaping, cut off the overgrown branches, diseased branches, and weak branches, and cut a rounded arc at the top of the azalea to form a hemispherical shape.

19. Rieger Begonia

1. Cut off the branches that are too dense, rotten, or diseased. Since Rieger Begonia is prone to black rot, the pruning knives must be disinfected with a lighter before use, and then coated with carbendazim after cutting.

2. The branches that have bloomed will not grow again if left, so you can just cut them off.

20. Milan

1. According to the position marked by the red line, erase the protruding top bud of Milan, maintain the crown shape, and form a hemispherical shape.

2. Cut off the new buds at the base within the blue box in the picture above, as well as the weak and diseased branches, until they are trimmed into the shape shown in the picture below.
