How to plant Prunella vulgaris

Soil selection:

Loose soil, well-drained, fine sandy soil.

Planting environment:

It should be grown in an environment with abundant sunlight, warmth and humidity, and avoid waterlogging or accumulation of water.

Planting time:

Under normal circumstances, the best time to plant selfheal is between mid-August and late September.

Planting method:

1. Before planting, apply sufficient basal fertilizer to the soil, and then dig small holes in the soil at a spacing of 20*20;

2. Sow the seeds in the small pits, 8 to 10 seeds in each pit, and cover the pits with soil;

3. Watering can be done at this time. Be careful not to wash the seeds out of the soil, and water thoroughly at one time. At the same time, observe the drainage phenomenon. There must be no waterlogging or accumulation of water.

4. Seedlings will appear in about half a month. During this period, weeding is required and can be directly pulled out by hand;

5. When the seedlings have more than 4 leaves, you can remove the smaller and weaker seedlings and leave the strong seedlings;

6. When the seedlings have more than 10 leaves, they can be transplanted;

7. Fertilize twice after planting, once in mid-March and once in mid-May. After fertilizing, water the plants appropriately to allow the nutrients in the fertilizer to be better absorbed by the plants.

8. If it is planted in spring, it can be harvested in the same year. If it is planted in autumn, it can only be harvested in the following year.
