How to propagate Kalanchoe by cuttings

1. Branch cuttings

A shallow pot is needed for branch cuttings, and the soil can be old or new. It is best to store the branches for a few days after cutting them, the survival rate will be higher, and it is best to have 2-3 leaves on the top of the branches. When cutting, do not bury the leaves in the soil, and water them thoroughly after cutting.

2. Stem cuttings

You should use mature fleshy stems with a length of 5-6cm, insert them into the sand bed and water them in time, and finally cover them with a film to provide them with a growing environment of 15-20℃. New roots will grow in about two weeks, and it can be potted in about a month.

3. Topping and cutting

First, pinch the top of the plant and insert the pinched part into the soil. After the soil is dry, water it thoroughly. During maintenance, it should not be exposed to direct strong light, but can be exposed to scattered light.

4. Leaf cuttings

Cut off the healthy leaves, place them in a cool place until the wounds dry, then insert them into the soil and keep it moist without any stagnant water. Place it in a sunny and ventilated place and it will take about a month to take root.

5. Water plug

Prepare the cuttings and let them air dry for a day. Pour water into the container, poke a hole in the foam, dissolve the rooting powder with alcohol, dip the cuttings in some rooting powder and insert them into the air. Move it to a bright place and wait for it to take root.
