How to propagate rubber trees, this way of propagation makes them easier to survive!

Cutting method

This method is usually simple and convenient, and the planted rubber trees are easy to survive and grow faster than general methods. Cuttings are usually carried out in early summer, and branches that are more than one year old should be selected to ensure the health of the plant. After the branches are cut, a kind of juice will flow out from the break. In order not to affect its survival rate, we need to cover it with ash and soil.

The branches to be planted usually have three buds left, and the excess leaves are removed, leaving two leaves on the surface, which are then tied together with ropes to reduce evaporation through the leaves' surface. After cuttings, keep the surrounding temperature at around 20 degrees, ensure the humidity of the soil and air, and then place them in a ventilated place to grow. After germination, you can provide appropriate light.

Layering

The high-branch layering method is commonly used by plant enthusiasts. This method is very suitable for use at home. The method is simple and the propagation speed is fast. At this time, you need to choose plants that have been growing for more than 2 years, and choose healthy and well-growing plants. Cut the epidermis of the branches in a ring shape at the selected position, and then apply a small amount of naphthaleneacetic acid. Wrap the cut part with plastic film, tie it tightly at the lower end, and leave some small holes on the upper part. This can ensure the air permeability of the branches and is also conducive to watering. Finally, place it in a place with sufficient light, manage and maintain the plant stably, and you can carry out layering in June. After the roots grow, cut it and plant it in a pot.
