How to fertilize rubber trees

How to fertilize rubber trees

Growth habit

Rubber trees grow in warm, sunny places, which can allow them to receive normal light and promote water transpiration. In spring and autumn, the weather is relatively warm and the intensity of sunlight is just right. It is best to put it in the sun to grow. In winter, its normal required temperature must be guaranteed. At this time, there is a lack of light. The rubber tree can still grow in places indoors that lack light.

How to fertilize

Summer growing season

Rubber trees grow very vigorously, so midsummer is the time when rubber trees grow rapidly. At this time, the demand for water and nutrients will increase. Therefore, we need to increase the frequency of fertilization, use humus cakes to soak in water, and then mix with liquid fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium elements for application. In spring and autumn, fertilization is generally carried out every 3 weeks, and in summer it can be shortened to once every two weeks. Fertilizing should be done together with watering, which can make the rubber tree grow healthier and stronger.

Early spring budding

When the rubber tree arrives in early spring every year, pour out the soil in the flowerpot and replace it to ensure the nutrient content of the base fertilizer in the potting soil. At this time, you can trim the roots and then choose new soil for potting. If the rubber tree grows larger, you should choose a larger flowerpot to facilitate its normal growth. If you want the potted rubber tree to grow fuller, you can pinch the top of the seedlings when they are growing, and control their height to around 70 cm. This will make the planted rubber tree more beautiful.
