Wine bottle - wine bottle orchid

Look, isn’t that part in the flowerpot super big? Don’t think that it is a sign of illness. This is a normal phenomenon for the bottle orchid! The root of the bottle orchid is huge, but the stem is very slender, and the leaves on the top are scattered and drooping, making it look like a bottle cap.

Moreover, this plant is really very easy to grow, really. Even watering is rare.

This might make it clearer.

Maintenance points:

1. It likes light and tolerates shade. It is best to place it in a bright place such as a south balcony or living room. To prevent the plant from growing crooked, rotate the pot 180° every 4-6 weeks.

2. It likes moisture, so you should spray water on the leaves and the surrounding space to increase the air humidity.

3. The bottle orchid has fleshy stems, so it is extremely drought-resistant and can grow normally even without watering for half a year. And be sure to pay attention when watering. It is better to be dry than wet. Water once a month.

4. Spring, summer and autumn are the peak growth seasons for bottle orchids, so fertilize once every 2 to 3 weeks. Huahua recommends using liquid fertilizer and diluting it before use.

5. Pruning bottle orchids is actually very simple. Just cut off some weak branches, those infected with diseases and pests, and those that are dry and dead!

Small spring - spring grass

The real world is full of wonders. I wonder if the invention of the spring was due to spring grass?

Maintenance points:

1. It likes a humid environment, so the surface of the potting soil should be kept slightly moist, but water cannot accumulate, otherwise it will cause the bulb to rot.

2. It will hibernate in summer and the surface of the soil will gradually dry up. Don't worry at this time. Just cut off all the dry parts and they will grow back in autumn.

3. Usually, place it in a place with sufficient light for maintenance. Note that it cannot be exposed to the sun at noon in summer.

Lantern-Fuchsia

Lantern flower, well, actually we usually call it fuchsia, but this kind of flower is much more difficult to grow than the bottle orchid, for example, it is not heat-resistant.

Maintenance points:

1. It likes slightly acidic soil, so it is best to add 1 drop of vinegar when watering, or directly use ferrous sulfate to irrigate the roots once a month.

2. Place it in a cool, ventilated place, especially in summer. Make sure the place is dry and cool.

3. If the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, take cooling measures immediately, such as turning on the air conditioner.

4. Water when the soil is dry and keep it slightly dry at other times. Water about once a week.

5. Pinch and top. Lantern flowers droop slightly when they bloom, so after new buds emerge, you should pinch and top them in time.

Nepenthes

Isn’t the pitcher plant named after its little bag? Of course, what looks like a cute little bag to us is hell for some insects.

Maintenance points:

1. The air humidity must be high, and spray water on the pitcher plant every morning and evening.

2. Water the plant sufficiently, about once every 1 to 2 days.

3. The best soil for planting is leaf mold or peat soil. Huahua recommends a mixed matrix of peat soil, charcoal, sphagnum moss, and fir bark chips.

4. There must be sufficient sunlight, but shade is needed at noon in summer, otherwise it will be dried out.

Powder Puff - Albizzia

Seeing the word "powder puff", some flower lovers may have guessed it. Yes, Huahua is talking about Albizia Julibrissin. It looks furry and looks like a powder puff. In fact, it can also be said to be a small brush~

Maintenance points:

1. Place it in a place with good light for maintenance. It is best to grow it outdoors.

2. Water when the soil is dry and when it is wet. Be especially careful with potted Albizia Julibrissin. Do not allow water to accumulate. Water once a week is enough.

3. Apply thin liquid fertilizer once a month.

4. When the seedlings of potted Albizia Julibrissin grow to about 20 cm, they should be pinched and topped to promote the sprouting of side branches and improve the ornamental value!
