How to grow Huoxuedan

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: Danshen likes a warm growing environment. Too high or too low a temperature is not suitable for it. The normal growth temperature needs to be maintained between 15 and 28 degrees. In winter, it is necessary to keep warm. The ambient temperature cannot be lower than 5 degrees, otherwise it is easy to be frostbite. High temperature is also not allowed. Too high a temperature will cause the plant to grow poorly.

2. Watering: Dandelion likes slightly moist soil, so pay attention to watering in summer. In winter, spraying can be used instead of watering. The specific number of watering needs to be determined according to the condition of the plant. You can water it when the soil is almost dry.

3. Light: Dandelion prefers a semi-sunlight growing environment, so it cannot be exposed to direct strong light, otherwise it will easily wither. During the maintenance period, it only needs to receive warm and sufficient light. In summer, try to move it back indoors for cultivation. It normally receives full sun in winter and spring.

4. Fertilization: Before planting, you need to apply some base fertilizer, which can promote the growth and development of seedlings. Then, during the growth period, you should also apply some fertilizer from time to time to ensure that the soil has sufficient nutrients. If the growth is good, apply top dressing once every two months. If the growth is poor, apply top dressing once a month.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Sowing and cuttings are two important methods of reproduction. Sowing can be carried out in spring and autumn. Of course, the plant's self-seeding ability is also very strong, but this method grows relatively slowly, so it is generally suitable to use cuttings. For cuttings, just cut branches of about eight centimeters and insert them into the pot. Suitable cultivation can make it survive quickly.

2. Pruning: As a ground plant, Danshen is generally used to beautify the environment, so it does not need excessive pruning. Its natural growth state is the most ornamental.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Diseases: Diseases occur relatively rarely, so generally there is no need to worry about the occurrence of any diseases.

2. Pests: Snails often appear at the roots of plants and can be controlled by spraying diluted dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane solution.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: It is non-toxic and can be used as medicine, but the specific effect still needs to be determined according to the doctor's instructions.

2. Can it be raised at home? Yes, but if raised at home, there must be sufficient ventilation. At the same time, its spread is relatively strong, so the pot needs to be changed from time to time.
