Soak these few bottles of water now and you won’t need to buy flower fertilizer in the fall!

Soybean cake fertilizer

Bean cake fertilizer is rich in nitrogen. Using it can make the branches and leaves of flowers strong and lush, green, and new shoots will sprout like bamboo shoots.

Procedure

1. Prepare a few pieces of bean cakes. Bean cakes are the residue left after soybean oil extraction and can be obtained from oil mills. In addition to soybean residue, the residue left over from oil pressing from rapeseed, sesame, peanuts, etc. can also be used as fertilizer.

2. Break the bean cake into very small pieces or crumbs. The smaller the better, the faster it will ferment!

3. Prepare a plastic bottle, don’t use a glass bottle as it may explode easily! Put the crushed bean dregs into a plastic bottle. The height of the bean dregs should occupy 1/3 of the entire plastic bottle. Don't put too much or make it too full.

4. Add water to the plastic bottle until it is 2/3 of the height. If you have tea leaves or grapefruit peels at home, you can add some deodorizing agents, and then cover the bottle with a lid.

5. Place the plastic bottle on a south balcony or rooftop with sufficient sunlight. Open the lid every week to let out the air to prevent it from bursting.

6. After about half a month to 2 months, the cake fertilizer water will turn black or gray and does not stink, which proves that it has been fermented. Be sure to wash and dilute it when using it. The ratio of bean cake water: clean water is about 1:20. Use it 1-2 times a week!

Fish-smelling water

Fish water is rich in phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. After fermentation, it can be added with water to water the flowers. The flowers will bloom more and bigger and be especially fragrant.

Composting steps

1. When cleaning the fish, do not throw away the scales, gills, fish viscera, blood, water, etc. Put them all into a large plastic bottle. Don't fill the bottle too full, about 3/4 of the way.

2. Place the bottle in a well-lit place and expose it to the sun. If you are worried about attracting insects and odor, spray some insecticide into the bottle and add some EM yeast or tea leaves, baking soda, lemon peel, etc.

3. After about 1-2 months, when the water turns black and has no odor, it means that the fermentation is complete. It must be diluted with water when used. The ratio of fishy water: clean water is 1:20. It only needs to be used once a month!

Rice washing water

Rice water is rich in phosphorus, nitrogen and trace elements. It becomes acidic after fermentation and is especially suitable for growing flowers. The flowers grown with it have thick and shiny leaves, and the flowers are bigger and more beautiful!

Fermentation steps

1. The first rice washing water is left after washing rice. It contains a small amount of bran and broken rice grains and is rich in nutrients.

2. Pour the rice water into a plastic bottle. Don't fill it too full. Leave some space for the gas during the fermentation process. Also, don't use a plastic bottle.

3. Put the lid on, do not tighten it, leave a gap, then place the plastic bottle in a well-lit place, and open the lid every 2-3 days to let it air out.

4. Throw some tea leaves or lemon peel into the plastic bottle containing rice water to reduce the odor.

5. After about 1-4 weeks, when the rice water turns yellow or yellow-black and the sediment at the bottom is gone, it is fermented!

6. When using rice water, it is best to dilute it with water. The ratio of rice water to clean water is about 1:10. Experienced flower lovers can also use fermented rice water for watering directly without diluting it with water.
