Watering orchids with scented oil

Sesame oil is rich in nutrients and is very beneficial for watering flowers. It can make orchids more fragrant and their leaves greener. It is best to apply sesame oil on a long-term basis for better results. However, oil particles are relatively large, and if too much is poured at one time, it can easily cause the soil to become compacted.

usage:

1. Take half a spoon of sesame oil.

2. Dig a small hole far away from the orchid roots.

3. Pour oil into the small hole and fill it with soil.

4. Since oil is relatively fat, the interval between ejaculation must be long, about once every 3 to 6 months.

In addition, it is not recommended to use this method on small orchid seedlings or relatively thin orchids, as it is easy to burn the seedlings. Generally, it is only suitable for larger and stronger plants.

Tahini

When sesame paste expires, a layer of oil will be precipitated on the surface. In this case, it is impossible for people to eat it, but it is very good to ferment sesame paste and the precipitated oil together! It can provide a lot of nutrition to plants!

usage:

1. Put sesame paste and the above oil into a plastic bottle.

2. Add a small amount of water and cover the lid, being careful not to cover it too tightly.

3. Expose it to the sun for fermentation. At the current temperature, it is estimated that the fermentation will be completed in 1 month.

4. After fermentation, it must be diluted before use, because the fertilizer is very strong. Generally, the upper clear liquid is diluted with 100 times water, and a small amount of the residue can be placed at the bottom of the flowerpot and used as base fertilizer.

Range hood waste oil

Many people don’t know what to do with the waste oil in the range hood. In fact, this oil can be used to water the flowers~ It’s very useful~

usage:

1. Clean out the waste oil from the range hood and put it into a container.

2. Use chopsticks or a small wooden stick to poke 3 to 5 small holes along the edge of the flower pot. For example, the circle of red thread.

3. Pour the waste oil into the small hole, but be careful not to fill up the small hole completely. The leaked part can be filled with soil to cover it.

4. According to actual tests by flower lovers, this method is very effective for Clivia. The Clivia that had never bloomed before has more than a dozen flower buds this year, which is great!

But one thing to note is, do not touch the roots directly!

Oil drum sediment

In fact, this thing is called oil residue in Huahua. Huahua squeezes the peanut oil by herself and then stores it in a large barrel. After a long time, there will be a layer of sediment at the bottom of the barrel, which is the so-called oil residue.

Usage 1:

If it is planted outdoors, you can dig a deep hole near the plant and bury it. In a natural environment, it will slowly ferment, and as long as it is far away from the root system, there will be no big problem.

But don’t bury too much. If you bury a bucket, nothing will survive. Basically, a bowl of food is enough.

Usage 2:

1. Prepare a large barrel with good sealing performance.

2. Bury a layer of soil at the bottom, then spread a layer of oil residue, and then another layer of soil, and repeat this process until the entire barrel is filled.

3. You don’t have to only put in oil residue, you can also put in some garbage like kitchen waste~

4. Place the container outdoors and expose it to the sun. In areas with higher temperatures, it is recommended to choose a sturdy bucket, as the flowers may melt in the sun. Basically, maintain the current temperature and it will be fine in about a month.

5. Mix the soil evenly. It is best not to plant flowers directly because it is too fertile. It is best to mix it evenly with garden soil in a 1:1 ratio, and then plant flowers.

Sesame oil residue

Sesame oil residue is actually the residue left over from making sesame oil. It is very rich and is great for making flower fertilizer. However, because it is too rich, it cannot be used directly and must be fermented.

usage:

1. Break the sesame oil residue into small pieces, like the ones in the picture below. You can make them half as small.

2. Put it into a plastic bottle or other container and add water until it just covers the sesame oil residue.

3. Seal and expose to the sun (if the temperature is very high, it is recommended to use an iron bucket or something like that, which conducts heat quickly and ferments faster.)

4. When the liquid in the container turns black and has no pungent odor, it means that the fermentation is complete and can be used.

5. The fertilizer is quite high, so it must be diluted many times when used. For liquid fertilizer, it should be diluted 50~100 times. It is best to use it for flowers that like fertilizer, such as Clivia and Jasmine.

6. The residue left after composting can be placed at the bottom of the pot when repotting and used as base fertilizer.

7. Or add it to the soil, stir evenly, and use it directly as soil. Note that the ratio should be 10 parts garden soil and 1 part dregs. And it should be used to grow plants that like fertilizer.

Oil crops

What Huahua introduced earlier is the finished oil, which many flower lovers may be reluctant to use, so we can use some oil crops instead~ such as peanuts, soybeans, melon seeds, castor, sesame, rapeseed, etc.

Usage 1:

When repotting flowers and plants, you can directly bury the rotten oil crops at the bottom of the pot and use them as base fertilizer. The microorganisms in the soil will slowly decompose them. Plants that love fertilizer, such as Clivia, especially like it!

Usage 2:

Put the rotten beans into a plastic bottle. Be careful not to fill it up. Then add water, just enough to cover the beans. Then screw on the lid, but do not tighten it.

Just take it out to dry in the sun, and open it once a day to let it air out, otherwise it will easily explode! When the water inside turns black, it means it is ready.

You can dilute it with water about 50 times and use it to water the flowers. The remaining residue can be used directly as fertilizer, either as top dressing or as base fertilizer!
