Add ferrous sulfate to jasmine water

Huahua has a pot of jasmine at home. It is in bloom now and the fragrance is really pleasant. But one day Huahua suddenly discovered that the jasmine leaves had turned yellow. What should she do? Huahua thinks that this is most likely caused by iron deficiency. In that case, why not give it some iron supplement?

effect:

The potting soil in the north is generally alkaline, which can easily cause the soil to become compacted. Especially for flowers like jasmine that like acidic soil, the alkaline potting soil can easily cause yellow leaves. Therefore, adding some ferrous sulfate to the water to supplement iron ions can restore the yellow-leafed jasmine to green leaves.

Directions:

1. Dilute ferrous sulfate with water at a ratio of 1:1000-1:3000 , and stir to obtain ferrous sulfate solution. To promote the absorption of iron, you can also add a few drops of lemon water to the water.

2. Use the prepared ferrous sulfate solution to irrigate the roots of jasmine, about once every 15 days. After watering with ferrous sulfate water, place the jasmine in a place with sufficient scattered light to avoid direct sunlight that will cause oxidation of iron ions. Once you notice the leaves of the jasmine turning green, stop watering with ferrous sulfate water.

Daily maintenance:

1. Summer is the time when jasmine grows fastest, so be sure to give it strong sunlight so that the jasmine flowers will be more fragrant. 2. In order to avoid death from excessive exposure and lack of water, jasmine should be watered with clean water every 1-2 days, or twice a day will also be fine.

Watering Gardenia with Vinegar

If you flower lovers don’t have ferrous sulfate at home and want to make the yellow leaves of gardenia turn green again, there is actually a very simple method, which is to add a few drops of vinegar when watering. This way the problem of yellow leaves of gardenia can be solved!

effect:

The yellowing of gardenia leaves is basically the same as that of jasmine, both of which are caused by alkaline soil. If you don't have ferrous sulfate at home, vinegar will also work well. Because the main ingredient in vinegar is acetic acid, it can also improve the pH of the soil.

Directions:

1. Take a few drops of vinegar and mix them with clean water in a ratio of 1:300 to make a solution. After stirring evenly, it becomes vinegar water that can be used to water gardenias. Be sure to use edible vinegar. Do not use industrial vinegar or vinegar that has gone bad.

2. Use the diluted vinegar water to water the gardenia. About 3-5 times, the yellow leaves of the gardenia will turn green. Or you can put the vinegar water in a spray bottle and spray it on the leaves of the gardenia about once every 10 days. After 4-5 times in a row, the yellow leaves will be restored.

Daily maintenance:

1. The temperature is high in summer. If you grow gardenias outdoors or on a south balcony, you must provide shade at noon to avoid burning the leaves.

2. The evaporation rate is high in summer, and gardenias require a lot of water. Basically, they need to be watered once a day, or even twice a day.

Watering the green radish with fish tank water

If Huahua says that the green ivy is the second best flower in terms of hardiness and ease of growth, then certainly no other flower would dare to claim to be the best! Precisely because it is easy to grow, many flower lovers grow green ivy at home. However, once the leaves of the green ivy turn yellow, it becomes a worry!

effect:

The yellow leaves of green radish are basically caused by lack of fertilizer. The water in the fish tank contains some fish secretions and excrement, and the nitrogen content is very high, which can provide sufficient nutrients for the growth and development of green radish.

Directions:

1. Take out the water from the fish tank and let it dry at room temperature for 1-2 days. When the temperature of the water in the fish tank is almost the same as the soil temperature of the green ivy, you can water the flowers. Please note that fish tank water with added medicine and salt cannot be used, otherwise it will affect the growth and development of green radish.

2. If you grow aquatic plants in the fish tank, there will basically be a lot of fertilizer in the water, so you cannot water the green ivy directly. You need to mix it with clean water in a ratio of 1:2 before watering the green ivy. If the fish tank is not fertilized much, you can just use the fish tank water to water it directly. With enough fertilizer, the yellow leaves of the green radish will soon turn green.

Daily maintenance:

1. The green radish has many leaves, so the amount of water evaporation is large, so you must water it more in summer. Huahua is now watered about 2-3 times a week, and the green radish grows very fast!

2. Green radish likes light, but cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves will be burned. In summer, it is best to place the green radish on the east or west balcony, or in a bright living room, so that the green radish can receive sufficient photosynthesis and its leaves will not turn yellow quickly!

Watering spider plants with rice water

Huahua thinks that spider plants are very easy to grow. As long as you see small spider plants growing on the spider plant, you can cut them off and stick them in the soil. They will take root and survive in a few days. You no longer have to worry about the cuttings dying!

effect:

Chlorophytum always has dry and yellow leaves, which is really annoying. Just add some rice water at this time! The surface of rice contains some trace elements such as phosphorus and potassium. After washing, some rice residue is also added. Such rice washing water contains a variety of nutrients. Using it to water spider plants will not only prevent the leaves of spider plants from turning yellow, but also make their leaves grow wider.

Directions:

1. Rice water cannot be used directly, because pouring rice water directly into flower pots can easily cause the soil to become compacted and affect the breathing of the roots, so it must be fully decomposed before use. Put the rice water in a clean plastic bottle, tighten the lid, and expose it to the sun to speed up the fermentation. Remember to open the bottle cap every few days to let the gas out.

2. It will take about 1-2 months for the rice water to ferment successfully. When watering, add clean water in a ratio of 1:4 and mix evenly. Use it directly to water the spider plant. Watering it about once a week is enough to turn the yellow leaves of the spider plant green.

Daily maintenance:

1. Chlorophytum comosum cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves will be burned. It is best to place it in a place with sufficient scattered light indoors, such as a bright living room, north balcony, etc.

2. The evaporation rate is high in summer, so you need to water it about once every 2-4 days. Spray water on the leaves of the spider plant in the morning and evening to prevent the leaves from curling and drying out due to lack of water.

Watering Clivia with beer

Many flower lovers around Huahua grow Clivia, because not only its leaves are shiny and beautiful, but its flowers are also very beautiful and have a particularly good meaning. However, not every flower lover can grow Clivia well. Flower lovers often ask Huahua, why do the leaves of my Clivia turn yellow?

effect:

Beer is basically brewed from grains, and it contains a lot of proteins, amino acids, phosphates and other substances, all of which can promote the growth of Clivia. At the same time, beer contains a large amount of carbon dioxide, which can provide Clivia with the carbon dioxide needed for photosynthesis, allowing Clivia to grow more vigorously!

Directions:

1. The concentration of beer is too high. Do not use it directly to water the flowers. It must be diluted. You can dilute beer with water in a ratio of 1:50 , and use it to irrigate the roots of Clivia. Use it about once a week, and the leaves of Clivia will not turn yellow but will be green! Especially when the Clivia is in the process of flower buds, watering the flowers with beer can make the flowers bloom more brightly!

2. In addition to direct root irrigation, you can also mix beer and water in a ratio of 1:10 to make a beer solution, put it in a spray bottle and spray it on the leaves of the Clivia, which can also make the leaves of the Clivia green!

3. In addition, the easiest way is to wipe the blades with beer. Mix beer and water in a 1:1 ratio, then use cotton cloth or a clean soft cloth to dip the beer solution and gently wipe the leaves of the Clivia, wiping both sides. This can also supplement nutrients for the Clivia and prevent yellowing of the leaves.

Daily maintenance:

1. When the temperature reaches 40℃ in summer, Clivia basically enters a semi-dormant period. Be sure to provide shade and avoid direct sunlight to avoid burning the leaves.

2. Water the plant about once every 7-10 days and increase ventilation to prevent the Clivia from root rot due to stuffiness and lack of air circulation.

Watering Kalanchoe with boiled egg water

A few days ago, a friend told Huahua that the leaves of her Kalanchoe had been yellow for several days. After she watered it with water containing boiled eggs for several days, the leaves turned green. It was simply amazing!

effect:

The water used to boil eggs contains a lot of minerals, which are very good nutrients for Kalanchoe. So after watering the flowers with water used to boil eggs, the leaves of the Kalanchoe not only turn green, but the color of the flowers also becomes brighter!

Directions:

1. After boiling the eggs, let the water stand for a while. Wait until the temperature of the water is consistent with the temperature of the soil in the Kalanchoe pot before watering the flowers. Remember that water with salt added and water for boiling tea eggs cannot be used.

2. Use the water used to boil eggs to water the Kalanchoe. It is only necessary to water it once a week. If you water it too often, the Kalanchoe will not be able to absorb so many nutrients and will cause damage to the flower.

Daily maintenance:

1. Kalanchoe likes coolness and is afraid of heat. It will enter a dormant period at 40℃ , so it must be shaded and cooled in summer. It is best to place it on the north balcony or in a ventilated place indoors.

2. If you find that the leaves of the Kalanchoe are wilting, you should water it thoroughly immediately. Normally, water it after you notice the surface of the soil in the pot turns white.

Watering camellia with tea

Huahua likes camellia very much, not only because its flowers are large and colorful, but also because its flowering period is relatively long, so there is a lot of time to appreciate it. It’s just that the leaves of this camellia always turn yellow for no reason, which makes people very depressed!

effect:

Tea is slightly acidic, and camellia also likes acidic soil, so watering the flowers with tea can make the soil of the camellia become slightly acidic, and the yellow camellia leaves can turn green.

Directions:

1. Cool down the remaining tea, filter out all the tea leaves and tea residues, leaving only the tea liquid.

2. You can directly use tea liquid to water the flowers, or you can mix tea liquid and water in a 1:1 ratio and then water the camellia. It is only necessary to water once every 1-2 weeks. Do not water too much, otherwise it will easily cause the soil to be too acidic and affect the growth of the camellia.

Daily maintenance:

1. Although camellia likes sunlight, it should be avoided from direct exposure to the sun. It must be shaded at noon in summer, otherwise the leaves will be easily burned, and in severe cases, all the leaves will dry up.

2. Water the plant about once every 3-5 days, when the surface of the soil in the pot turns white. Spray water on the ground and air around the pot in the morning and evening to increase the humidity of the air.
