Water and Fertilizer Management of Magnolia

Water Management in Magnolia

Magnolia likes moisture and is afraid of excessive waterlogging. Therefore, during the cultivation process, care should be taken to keep the soil moist without water accumulation. Water the plants in early spring when they return to green color, water them with frozen water in early winter, and control watering in other seasons according to the amount of rainfall. In hot and dry weather, it is recommended to conduct foliar misting watering in addition to root watering. The best time to spray water is after dusk.

Fertilizer management of Magnolia

Magnolia likes fertilizer and can be fertilized four times a year. Apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer before flowering, use nitrogen fertilizer after flowering, apply phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer in July and August, and apply natural fermented fertilizer in combination with frozen water before winter. Adequate fertilizer can make the plant grow vigorously, with more large flowers and a long flowering period.
