Selection of cuttings for papyrus

For papyrus, the terminal inflorescence can be selected as cuttings, and mature, flowering inflorescences are preferred.

Cut off the radiating branches of the cuttings, leaving 1-1.5 cm at the base, and insert them directly into the potting soil. Cover the center of the radiating branches with shallow soil, water to keep them moist, and place them in a brightly lit place.

Papyrus takes root relatively quickly in spring and summer. When the cuttings take root and sprout, you can apply a thin layer of slow-release fertilizer and then place them in an environment with sufficient sunlight. You can also place the flower pot in a basin of water for a long time, or keep the medium moist to facilitate growth.
