Cultivation methods and precautions of Cape primrose

Cultivation methods and precautions of Cape primrose

1. Potting soil

Cape primrose has a good ability to adapt to growth, and the potting soil selected during cultivation is relatively suitable, which is more conducive to its growth. Don't use a flowerpot that is too deep, a shallow one is better, and the soil should not be too sticky, you should use soil that is loose and breathable. Also, the soil should be neutral.

2. Lighting

The plant does not have high requirements for normal light intensity, as long as it is not exposed to strong sunlight. It is more suitable to grow in semi-shaded places, and it should be exposed to sunlight appropriately every day. It should be noted that the light in summer is very strong, so you should pay attention to sun protection.

3. Watering

During the maintenance process, you should keep track of the dryness of the potting soil and replenish water in time. When the soil becomes dry, water it as soon as possible, and control the amount of water to prevent water accumulation. The humidity of the breeding environment is also extremely important. It is best to maintain the humidity above 50%.

4. Wintering

Generally, the temperature in winter is very low, and its growth rate is also very slow. At this time, we must do a good job of keeping warm. It is also necessary to control the amount of watering. Appropriate water control is very necessary.

5. Notes

As mentioned above, there should be no stagnant water in the flower pots, because stagnant water will not only cause root rot, but also cause invasion by diseases and insects. Therefore, attention should be paid to timely drainage, especially in the rainy season, and proper window opening for ventilation. When a disease or insect pest occurs, it is necessary to take preventive measures as soon as possible.
