Seed soaking and germinationThe seed soaking and germination method is mainly divided into two steps: soaking and germination. Common water temperature for seed soaking75-85 degrees is for blanching seeds in hot water, 55-60 degrees is for soaking seeds in warm water, and 25-30 degrees is for soaking seeds in warm water. The first two seed soaking methods take a very short time and require continuous stirring in the same direction. The seeds should be soaked when the water temperature drops to 25-30 degrees. Seed soaking is suitable for seedsThe blanching method is usually used for seeds with hard seed coats and leathery or waxy texture, while warm water soaking is suitable for vegetable seeds with thin seed coats and fast water absorption. Container germinationWrap the soaked seeds with a clean cloth and place them in a clean container. You can choose a clay pot with good water absorption and ventilation. Place sorghum stalks at the bottom of the pot to prevent the seeds from being soaked by water. Cover the pot with a clean towel to prevent water evaporation and place it in a suitable temperature environment to germinate. Mixed sand germinationThis method is suitable for small seeds or seeds that germinate slowly. Mix the clean sand and seeds in a certain proportion, put them in a clay pot, cover them with a towel or other covering to keep them moist, and place them under suitable temperature conditions to germinate. |
