How to plant tobacco seeds

Preparation of the sowing medium for flowering tobacco

If we want to sow tobacco seeds, we must first prepare the culture medium. We can choose imported peat because of its better quality. Peat is used as the sowing medium because it has good ventilation and air permeability and is very moisturizing. Maintaining the pH value of the medium between 5.5 and 5.8 is very suitable for the germination and growth of nicotiana seeds. Before sowing, we must first water the peat as the culture medium thoroughly to ensure that it has sufficient moisture.

How to sow tobacco seeds

When we sow tobacco seeds, we can directly sow the seeds on the prepared culture medium without covering them with soil. Providing appropriate light is conducive to the germination of tobacco seeds. Maintain a certain humidity, but not too wet. The soil temperature should also be maintained between 24°C and 26°C. If the soil is deep enough, it will take three to five days for the young roots of tobacco to grow.

Maintenance of tobacco planting after sowing

After a period of time, the seeds of the flowering tobacco will germinate. At this time, the humidity of the soil can be slightly reduced, and some liquid fertilizers with lower concentrations can be used to promote the growth of tender shoots. After the root system of the flowering tobacco gradually develops, we can slightly increase the concentration of the liquid fertilizer and increase the light appropriately. The flowering tobacco should be watered according to a certain pattern and not at will.
