How to promote the flowering of Phalaenopsis

There are some skills to promote the flowering of Phalaenopsis, and generally you need to pay attention to two aspects:

Temperature control

1. Day and night temperature: Temperature control should be divided into day and night. First, the daytime temperature should be controlled at 26℃ to 28℃, and the highest temperature should not exceed 32℃; the night temperature should be controlled at 20℃ to 23℃, and the lowest temperature should not be lower than 15℃.

2. High temperature treatment: When the temperature is high, pay attention to shading the plants. Do not let the plants be exposed to direct sunlight, which will damage the growth of the plants and not force them to bloom.

3. Low temperature treatment: To provide a flowering-inducing environment for Phalaenopsis, low temperature should be applied 4 to 5 months before flowering. The daytime temperature should be reduced to 25°C and the night temperature should be reduced to 18°C. This will accelerate the growth of Phalaenopsis and begin to grow flower buds. When the pedicel grows to about 10 cm, the low temperature treatment should be stopped immediately. This will allow the flowering to proceed well and the flowers will bloom soon, healthy and harmless.

Humidity Control

The humidity that is conducive to the growth of Phalaenopsis should generally be controlled at 60% to 80%. If the humidity is too high, it will be infected with diseases, and if the humidity is too low, it will affect the growth of orchids, so the humidity must be balanced.

The relative humidity can be kept at 70% during the day and 80% at night. This is conducive to the rapid growth of Phalaenopsis and achieves the effect of promoting flowering.

Lighting control

During the flowering process, the light should not be too strong or too weak. Too strong light can cause sunburn.

If the light is too weak, it will reduce the photosynthesis of the leaves, causing unfavorable growth of leaves, branches and buds, and thus affecting the blooming of flowers.

Therefore, it is only necessary to ensure sufficient light. It only needs sunlight in the morning and afternoon. The rest of the time, it can be placed in a warm and dark place.

Well, by doing the above, you can urge your Phalaenopsis to bloom early for you.
