Cutting method

Cutting is the main propagation method of Camellia sasanqua. Cuttings are usually carried out in May. Select healthy and strong branches from mother plants that are more than five years old as cuttings. Use scissors to cut off the excess leaves, leaving only two or three leaves. The cutting seedling bed should be shaded, and light should be gradually allowed in in the morning and evening. The cuttings will take root about 20-30 days after cutting, and the seedlings can be potted or transplanted in the second year.

The most suitable environment for the growth of Camellia sasanqua is semi-shade and semi-sun, and it likes shade and humidity. After cuttings of Camellia sasanqua, it needs careful maintenance, and the light, temperature, water and fertilizer must be appropriate.
