Flowering period regulation of Eustoma grandiflorum

How to grow lisianthus to make it bloom more

The flowering period of lisianthus generally varies according to the sowing time. If sown in spring, it will generally bloom in July or August, while if sown in autumn, it will bloom in April or May of the following year.

If you want to make lisianthus bloom more, it is usually achieved by pinching the tips.

For varieties of lisianthus with strong branching, pinching can be used to make the lisianthus grow more branches. This not only reduces the height of the plant, but also allows it to bloom more.

Flowering period regulation of Eustoma grandiflorum

The flowering period of lisianthus, if it is a potted lisianthus, from sowing to flowering, generally takes 120 days to 140 days. If it is a cut flower variety, it takes about 150 days to 180 days to bloom. Generally, if you want to shorten the growth period of lisianthus and make it bloom earlier, you can increase the maintenance temperature, increase the sunshine time, and promote the differentiation of flower buds to achieve the purpose of early flowering.

In addition, the flowering period can be controlled by adjusting the sowing period of lisianthus. Lisianthus can be sown from January to March and will bloom from July to August. If sown in September-October, it will bloom in April-May of the following year. Under normal conditions, the budding and flowering periods of Eustoma are about 40 days.

Please note that during the maintenance period, there must be sufficient water and fertilizer, various maintenance elements need to be balanced, and there must be sufficient light. Sometimes artificial lighting is needed so that it can bloom normally. If the temperature is too low in winter, lisianthus will not bloom, and excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer will delay the flowering period of lisianthus.
