It is also called big red hairy moss and Lob's hairy moss. It is a perennial vine. The branches and leaves are creeping, the branches are drooping, and the stems are green. The leaves are dark green on the front and lighter on the back. The inflorescence is terminal, black-purple and covered with pubescent hairs, and the corolla is tubular and red or reddish orange. The flowering period is mainly in summer.
