Don’t throw away leftover fruit peels! Growing flowers is useful

Don’t throw away leftover fruit peels! Growing flowers is useful

Grapefruit peel

First: Deodorization

When using kitchen waste such as fish intestines to make compost, you can throw some grapefruit peels into it to deodorize it. When Huahua was fermenting the tea herself, she threw in a lot of grapefruit peels. Not only did it not have a bad smell, it also had a light fragrance.

Second: composting

Pomelo peel is actually a very natural fertilizer. However, pomelo peel cannot be buried directly in the soil. The process of pomelo peel rotting in the soil is actually a kind of fermentation. The heat generated by the fermentation will burn the roots of the plant. ▼Prepare a large plastic bucket

▼Chop the grapefruit peel

▼Spread a layer of soil on the bottom, then a layer of grapefruit peel, and repeat this process until the last layer, then cover it with soil.

Note: 1. Adding water. This step depends on everyone's ideas. However, Huahua wants to remind everyone that adding water will increase the speed of fermentation, but it will smell, very smelly. If you don't add water, the smell will be less, but the fermentation time will be extended accordingly~ 2. Regular ventilation. Open the bottle cap every once in a while and let some air in. After a few times, there will be no smell.

Pineapple

First: Make enzymes

Preparation: 4.5L mineral water bottle, pineapple peel, brown sugar, water Ratio: 1 catties brown sugar + 3 catties peel + 10 catties water + fermentation for 3 months Container: 4.5L mineral water bottle▼

▼Put the peel + brown sugar into a bucket and add water

▼Place it in a ventilated and cool place to ferment for 3 months. During the first 10 days, open it once a day to release air.

Note: 1. Dilute the fertilizer by 1000 times. 2. Other fruit peels can also be used to make enzymes.

Second: Make potted plants

▼When buying pineapples, choose large pineapples with complete shapes and cut off the top flowers.

▼Peel off the leaves at the bottom of the pineapple head and place it in a cool and ventilated environment to let the cut surface dry.

▼Put a toothpick on it, immerse the bottom in water, and change the water every day!

▼Wait until roots grow out at the bottom.

▼Transplant into a flowerpot, maintain sufficient light, and wait until the roots are long enough, then transplant into the flowerpot.

▼Then you just wait for the big pineapple to grow!

Third: As a flower arrangement container

Bagasse

First: Pelvic floor pad

Dry the chewed sugarcane residue and then place it at the bottom of a plastic pot to increase the air permeability of the soil.

Second point: composting

Mix sugarcane bagasse with garden soil in a 1:1 ratio, then add about 5% soybean meal or crushed soybean cake, mix well and spray water to moisten it, then add water. The amount of water should be enough to squeeze the soil into a ball without getting your hands wet. Then wait for it to ferment for 3 to 4 weeks. It should be noted that it should be covered with plastic cloth in winter, otherwise the fermentation will be very slow due to low temperature.

When the sugarcane bagasse and soybean meal turn gray and black, the fermentation is complete and can be planted. However, avoid rain during the fermentation period. After the fermentation is completed, spread it out in the sun, and store it after it is dry for later use.

Grape skin

First point: Improve soil pH

Everyone should be familiar with the brewing of wine. The grape residue left over from brewing wine is highly acidic, rich in nutrients, and has the effect of sterilizing the soil. Mix the grape residue and soil together and ferment for about half a month. It is a very good material for growing camellia and azalea!

Second point: watering the flowers

Put the grape residue in a large vat, dilute it with water, and do not ferment it. It is also good for watering flowers. Or dilute the wine about 20 times and water the flowers once every half a month. It is also good for the flowers.

Banana peel

First point: composting

▼Prepare banana peels

▼ Use scissors to cut the banana peel into pieces for easy decomposition

▼Find a larger trash can as much as possible, first put about 10 centimeters of flower soil at the bottom of the trash can, put an appropriate amount of banana peel fragments into the soil, then cover it with a layer of soil, and then put another layer of banana peel fragments, until it is full and seal it with soil.

The fermented humus soil can be used directly to plant flowers, or it can be used as flower fertilizer. Similarly, various fruit peels, kitchen leftovers, and leaves can be used to obtain fertilizer in this way.

Second point: watering the flowers

Flower growers always worry about the poor growth of their flowers and plants. Many times it is because there are not enough trace elements in the flower pots. We have to buy a lot of nutrient solution and spend a lot of money. In fact, we can make our own flower nutrient solution at home with leftover banana peels.

▼Wash the plastic bottle, fill it one-fifth with water, and choose a larger bottle if possible.

▼Chop the leftover banana peels into pieces and stuff them into a plastic bottle.

▼Flatten the plastic bottle containing the banana peels, put the lid on it, and then wait for the banana peels to rot and ferment. (The gas produced by fermentation will make the bottle difficult to open, so you have to squeeze it flat.) ▼Put the bottle in the sun to promote the fermentation of the peel. After the fermentation is complete, add some clean water to the water in the bottle and use it as flower nutrient solution.

Notice:

1. Do not put metal objects in the bottle. 2. The nutrient solution should only be used once a week, and avoid overnutrition.

Watermelon rind

First point: composting

▼First, you have to buy a watermelon, and then eat it all like the one below. Oh, this picture makes Huahua so greedy!

▼Scrape the red flesh clean and scoop it out with a spoon~ Huahua has proven that this method is very good.

▼Cut the watermelon rind into strips as shown in the picture below. Be careful not to cut your hands!

▼Then cut the watermelon rind horizontally and cut the strips into dices.

▼Put the cut watermelon rinds into the bucket and cover it.

▼Put the bucket containing watermelon rinds in the sun to dry! sun! sun!

▼After 10 to 15 days, the watermelon rind will release water, which can be used to water the flowers. The remaining watermelon rind can be dried in the sun until there is no water left. Finally, bury the remaining residue in the flowerpot as base fertilizer.

Notice:

1. Note that the watermelon rind will produce some gas during the drying process, and you can open the lid occasionally to release the gas. 2. Orange peel can remove odors. Watermelon peels generally have no odor, but if you are a mysophobia patient, you can put a few pieces of orange peel in the watermelon peel and ferment them together. This will not only not smell bad but will also have a slight fragrance. 3. Add water to dilute. If you are worried that the melon rind water will burn the flowers, you can add some water.

Orange peel

First: Deodorization and composting

It has a similar effect to grapefruit peel, so you can also refer to the grapefruit peel part for specific steps~

Second: insect prevention

The smell and juice of orange peels are both disliked by pests, so you can cut the orange peels into small pieces and bury them in the soil, or squeeze out the juice from the orange peels and water them in a circle around the plants to effectively isolate the pests.

Of course, it can prevent not only pests, but also your pets! Okay~ I have introduced all the fruits that Huahua often eats~ Dear flower lovers, once you have learned how to make them, go home and try to make them!
