How to propagate Peperomia

How to propagate Peperomia

Propagation of Peperomia truncatum by cuttings

Cutting propagation is one of the commonly used propagation methods in the plant kingdom, and Coriander grass is no exception. Coriander grass can also be propagated by cuttings.

Branch cuttings

It is best to choose healthy branches that are free of pests and diseases in spring, but branch cuttings can actually be done during the four months from April to August. Generally speaking, the survival rate of cuttings of Peperomia odorifera is very high, but the environment must be kept moist at all times.

Leaf cuttings

First of all, you need to choose leaves that are mature, healthy and free of pests and diseases.

Then, cut off the leaves with the stalks, and insert the leaves into the prepared fertile soil, and wait quietly for the wrinkled peperomia to take root. Remember to pay attention to the moisture of the surrounding environment, remember it should be moist, not waterlogged.

Propagation of Peperomia truncatula by division

The best time to propagate the wrinkled peperomia by division is in spring when the plant is repotted.

First, prepare a pot of pepper grass that is already full of plants. Do not water it for a few days to allow the gap between the soil and the pot wall to loosen.

Pour out the soil together with the pepper grass, and remember to try not to damage the roots of the pepper grass.

Then before transplanting, carefully separate the wrinkled peperomia and transplant them into different pots, then water them to allow them to take root and you're done!
