Pollination of the Moon FeastThe Cliff Queen can self-pollinate, but artificial assisted cross-pollination can enrich its genetic changes, making its offspring more variable and growing stronger, so don’t be careless when pollinating Yueyan! Moon Feast SeedsIt is worth noting that the lifespan of Moon Feast seeds is relatively short and they should be sown immediately after harvesting. So if you have cultivated a moonflower, you have to wait until it matures and drops seeds before you can reproduce it! The temperature required for the Moon BanquetWhen sowing, the germination rate and growth of seedlings are best under 25~28℃ conditions, but it should be noted that if the temperature exceeds 36 degrees, the seedlings will die due to the high temperature. Moon Feast's sowing mediumThe lower layer of the sowing medium can be made of perlite or laka particles as a drainage layer; the middle layer can be made of fine humus soil with vermiculite or perlite, which is breathable, draining and contains nutrients; the upper layer can be made of fine coconut coir. Since the seeds are as small as dust, they can be mixed with very fine sand when sowing to ensure uniformity, or they can be sown directly without adding fine sand. You can also scatter the seeds and spray them with mist water, and the seeds will get into the gaps! Sterilization of YueyanThe soil and pots used should be strictly disinfected (such as high-temperature steaming or immersing the pots and soil in a solution of white fungus for disinfection), then dried in the sun for 1 to 3 days, and the soil in the pots must be kept moist when sowing. After the Moon Feast SowingThen put the pot into a plastic bag, tie it tightly, and place it in a dark place. Open it to ventilate for 30 minutes every day until true leaves grow. Remove the bag and move it to a place with bright scattered light. Because the seedlings are delicate, keep the soil moist by spraying them thoroughly with a sprayer or using the immersion method every two days, and don't forget the temperature! Humidity required for Moon BanquetAfter the seedlings emerge, you must remember to water them. Generally, you can spray mist water 3 to 4 times a day to keep the soil surface neither dry nor wet! |
