Silver Star's water and fertilizer management

Silver Star's Moisture Management

Succulents like Silver Star are very sensitive to water, and uneven or excessive watering can cause rot. Basically, when watering these succulents, follow the principle of watering thoroughly when the soil is dry.

When watering the silver star plant, water it thoroughly once, and then water it a second time after the soil in the pot is completely dry. If it is difficult to water thoroughly, you can immerse the pot in water. Put the entire pot in water, with the water level not exceeding the edge of the pot, and wait until the soil in the pot is completely wet.

Silver Star is afraid of water and humidity, so when it is hot and rainy in the summer, you should gradually cut off the water supply. When the temperature is above 35 degrees, start to water less. As the temperature drops in autumn, slowly resume watering.

In winter, due to the low temperature, watering may cause frostbite to the silver star, which is not conducive to wintering, but the water cannot be completely cut off. If the water is lost, the growth fluid of the silver star will be affected, so you can water it appropriately. Normal watering can be resumed when the temperature rises in spring.

Water once a week during the main growing season in spring, fall and early summer.

Fertilization management of Silver Star

Silver Star is generally fertilized once a month during the growing season.

In the early growth stage, apply 5 to 10 granular fertilizers per pot, once every 7-10 days, and carry out normal management.

Silver Star will enter a short period of dormancy in summer, so stop fertilizing. If the temperature is below 10℃ in winter, the plants will stop growing and fertilizing should also be stopped.

Pay attention to the amount of fertilizer applied. Do not apply too much fertilizer to avoid burning the seedlings or even causing diseases.
