Black Master's breeding methods and precautions

Black Master's breeding methods and precautions

Soil requirements

Choose fertile and well-drained culture soil for planting. You can use different garden soils, mix some peat, vermiculite and perlite, and make sure it is breathable. If the soil is not breathable or lacks fertility, the leaves of the Black Magic Plant will become lighter in color, appearing purple with green, which is very ugly.

Temperature requirements

Black Magic likes warm, dry and sunny environment. It is drought-resistant but not cold-resistant and slightly tolerant to partial shade. The growth of Black Magic is quite pleasing during the spring and autumn growing seasons. The most suitable temperature during the growing period is 20~25℃. It can withstand low temperatures of 5℃ in winter. If the temperature is lower than 5℃, the leaves will easily warm up and fall off.

Due to the high temperatures in summer, the black magic plant will experience slight leaf drop, but it does not affect its growth. So in the summer, you should pay attention to ventilation, reduce watering, and move it to a bright place where there is no direct sunlight. Try to place it in a cool place outdoors, as indoor ventilation will have a certain impact.

Watering method

Spring and autumn are its main growth stages, so water and fertilizer management should be strengthened appropriately. In winter, water the plants according to their own conditions and the state of the plants, and pay attention to cold protection. If there are heating facilities indoors, pay attention to increasing the light and water accordingly according to the growth.

Black Magic Master will enter a short dormancy in summer. At this time, you should observe the condition of the plant according to the temperature, reduce the number of watering accordingly, and maintain it in partial shade appropriately.

Reproduction method

You can cut the rosette leaf discs in early spring for cuttings, and buds will sprout on the remaining stems. Black Magic is a very easy to propagate variety. If it is not pruned, it will grow very tall.

Precautions

The variegation of Black Magic is very interesting. Spots appear at the growth points, and the branches become flattened, which is a strange phenomenon. It seems to have lost its original elegant appearance.

During the growing season, the Black Magic Master will often spontaneously burst into long forms, which is unexpected and even more surprising.

The branches will grow taller and longer, and the leaves at the bottom will dry up and fall off. This is also the case with other succulents. There is no need to worry too much. This is how old stumps are made.
