How to change the pot and precautions for Ji Yulu

Repotting method

First, prepare a larger flower pot. You can use a clay pot, ceramic pot or other pot with good air permeability.

Then configure the media. The mixing ratio is: 4 parts of special corrosive soil, 2 parts of coarse sand, 2 parts of blue stone, 1 part of clay particles, and 1 part of perlite. Other media can also be added according to actual conditions. After mixing, spray some water to make it feel moist.

Remove the plant from the pot, support the top of the plant with one hand, turn the pot upside down, and slowly push the pot upward.

For plants with more root systems, some old roots should be removed and "carbendazim" should be applied on the wounds for sterilization.

The final step is planting.

Notes on repotting

When choosing a flowerpot, you should determine the depth of the pot according to the extent of the root growth of the Jade Plant.

More exhaust holes should be made at the bottom of the flower pot to facilitate air circulation and drainage at the bottom of the flower pot.

The configuration of the medium focuses on selecting media with large particles and low organic matter content, which is to suit the conditions of the native habitat of Ji Yu Lu. You can choose Akadama soil, Kanuma soil, Uekin stone, orchid stone, clay particles, pumice, vermiculite, perlite, etc.

When transplanting transplanted plants, do not damage the leaves and roots of the plants and be gentle.

If you want to propagate the side buds of the plant in separate pots, you can cut them off gently with a blade and apply "carbendazim" on the wound. It can be transplanted after 4 days.
