Wintering and summering of Echeveria luxuriata

Overwintering of Echeveria luxuriata

What you need to pay attention to about Echeveria lucidum in winter are nothing more than light, watering, and temperature.

First of all, since Echeveria Lu's leaves need sufficient sunlight to grow well, it is necessary to maintain sufficient light even in the winter when the temperature is low. And because the daytime hours are shorter and the sunshine time is reduced in winter, try to give it full sunlight.

Secondly, watering in winter actually depends on the temperature. When the temperature is above 0 degrees, you can water it. After all, winter is very long, and you cannot go the entire winter without watering, as this will affect the growth of Echeveria Lu's. When watering, you can pour water on the roots of Echeveria Lu's, but not on the leaves. When the temperature drops below 0 degrees, you must cut off the water supply, otherwise you will easily get frostbite, which will not be worth the loss.

Last but not least, keep the temperature low in winter. Due to the low temperature, it is best to move the Echeveria lucidum indoors in winter and place it in a place where it can get sunlight.

Summer of Echeveria luxuriata

Summer is characterized by high temperatures and heavy rainfall, which is a big problem for Echeveria lucidum.

First of all, due to the strong sunlight in summer, the sunlight is very likely to injure the Echeveria lucidum plants. However, Echeveria lucidum is a light-loving plant, and it cannot be prevented from being exposed to sunlight, so shading is imperative. Generally, when the temperature is above 35 degrees, the Echeveria lucidum will be moved to bright scattered light and kept ventilated.

Secondly, Echeveria luxuriantii can grow normally in summer, and its dormancy is not too obvious. When the temperature is too high, you can consider giving it less water or no water, and then slowly resume watering in autumn.
