Sowing time

The most important things for the germination of Isuzu jade seeds are temperature and humidity, which can be controlled by humans, so there are not too many requirements. But at home, it is best to sow in April in spring or around October in autumn. The ambient temperature at this time is equivalent to the seed growth temperature, and germination is faster.

It is best to disinfect the soil before sowing. You can use the most primitive high-temperature steaming method to disinfect it at home. This is the most economical and affordable for sowing enthusiasts! The steaming time is generally controlled within 30 minutes, and harmful bacteria can basically be killed after high-temperature steaming!

After disinfection, water it with potassium permanganate solution and set it aside to dry.

How to operate

Fold the prepared white paper in half and pour the seeds onto the white paper. Most of the seeds of succulents are very small, so this step is very important. Be sure to arrange the seeds to form a long line as shown in the picture below.

Then fold the white paper slightly and tap the back of the paper gently with your hand to spread the seeds as evenly as possible on the soil. Don't spread all the seeds in one place, as it will be difficult for them to germinate.

Covering

It seems that there is no need to cover the soil after sowing the seeds of succulents, but to be on the safe side, it is still necessary to cover them with a thin layer of soil. Pressing the seeds slightly can make it easier for the seedlings to take root. Please note that it is only a thin layer.

Then use a small spray bottle to lightly spray some water, the kind that creates a very fine spray.

Maintenance

The sowing calculations are now complete. You need to take care to maintain the seeds, cover them with a layer of glass, or put them in a plastic bag and place them in the sun.

When the temperature is high during the day, you can open a small corner for ventilation, and cover it tightly in the afternoon to maintain the air humidity in the small environment.
