Four seasons maintenance method of Yueyan

Four seasons maintenance method of Yueyan

Spring maintenance

Spring is the peak growth period of the Moon Flower, and it blooms in April and May. The Moon Flower likes a warm, dry, semi-sunny growing environment. It is drought-resistant and afraid of waterlogging, so the soil should be kept semi-dry. In addition, if you have been growing it for a year, remember to repot it in the spring!

Summer maintenance

Although the Moon Banquet likes sunlight, it is still in danger of being sunburned if exposed to the sun for a long time. Therefore, in the summer, be sure not to place the Moon Banquet in direct sunlight, or place it in the shade.

Autumn maintenance

In late autumn, the leaves and stem segments will dry up and the plant will enter a dormant state. But in some cases (such as high room temperature), wilting may be postponed or even dormancy may not occur and growth may continue. During the dormant period, the soil must be kept moderately dry, otherwise the ball will easily rot. For plants that are not dormant, maintenance and management should be kept in a drier environment than usual.

Winter maintenance

In winter, place it in a sunny place indoors and keep it at a minimum temperature of no less than 10°C.

There is a certain temperature difference between day and night, so you can water and fertilize normally so that the plants can continue to grow and bloom.

If the temperature is lower than 10℃, the branches and leaves at the top of the bulb will dry up and the plant will enter a dormant period. You should control watering and keep the soil dry to prevent the bulb from rotting due to water accumulation in the soil. As long as it does not freeze, it can safely overwinter.
