How to change the pot of Goldfinger

Repotting Goldfinger: Preparing the soil

Generally speaking, the new flowerpot should be larger than the old one. Put a layer of loam at the bottom of the pot, then cover it with a layer of sand and mix in a small amount of organic fertilizer.

Goldfinger repotting: off the pot

Prepare gloves before removing the basin, preferably thicker rubber gloves.

①Hold the plant with your hands and turn the flowerpot upside down.

② Use your other hand to grasp the pelvic floor and slowly pull upwards.

③In this way, the golden finger will come out, retaining some soil at the roots.

Goldfinger repotting: planting in pots

One week before potting, water the soil thoroughly and place it in a ventilated place for later use.

After a week, plant the golden fingers directly in the pot without watering.

This is the moist soil dry planting method, which can shorten the time it takes for plants to adapt to the soil and reduce the damage caused by repotting.

Gold Finger Repotting: Slowing down the roots

Any plant needs an adaptation process. After planting the golden finger in the soil, place it in a cool and ventilated place and let the roots grow for 5 to 7 days before watering. After that, normal maintenance is sufficient.

Precautions for changing pots with Gold Finger

① When repotting, keep as much soil as possible on the roots of the plant and try to avoid bare roots. Because transplanting with soil is easier to survive than transplanting with bare roots.

② When repotting, if the original flower pot is a soft plastic pot (or paper cup), it is recommended to cut it open so as not to damage the plant roots.

③ Do not repot continuously in a short period of time. For general plants, there should be at least half a year or even longer interval between repotting.
