How to propagate copper coin grass

There are three main methods of propagating pennywort: cutting propagation, division propagation, and seed propagation.

The pennywort is easy to maintain on a daily basis and can easily grow out of the pot, so most people use cuttings and division to propagate it at home.

Cutting propagation of pennywort

Cutting propagation is the most commonly used propagation method for pennywort.

Cut the stems of the pennywort, select a length of about 3-5 nodes, and remove the leaves at the bottom.

2. Insert the pennywort into the soil and place a plate filled with water under the flowerpot. Can also be inserted directly into water.

Ensure proper light and spray water frequently to keep it moist, and it will take about ten days to half a month to take root.

The propagation of copper coin grass by division

Select healthy, mature pennywort with large leaves.

Use scissors to cut the white roots of the selected plants, about 3.4 cm long.

Just fix it with loose special planting soil or other substrates.

After transplanting, place it in a cool place. After new leaves grow out in about a week, gradually move it to a sunny place. Whether it is cutting propagation or division propagation, it is best to do it in warm weather.

Seed propagation of pennywort

Seed propagation is generally not used when growing pennywort at home. However, seeing the tiny pennywort seeds gradually sprout and take root after going through the hardships is one of the pleasures of growing flowers.

After the soil in the flowerpot is soaked, sprinkle the seeds evenly on it, cover it with a thin layer of soil, and then spray water to wet it.
