How to make Begonia bloom all year round

How to make Begonia bloom all year round

Soil selection

The choice of culture soil is crucial for begonias. The culture soil for a begonia that blooms for a long time should be made of half leaf mold, half garden soil, and a small amount of river sand. Of course, you can also add a small amount of bone meal as cake fertilizer, which can make the begonia grow more vigorously.

Lighting and ventilation

In early spring, the Begonia should be placed in a sunny position on the balcony and ventilation should be maintained at all times. And observe in multiple directions, the fragrance of the flower pot should be changed 180° in situ after a long time.

After a late frost, begonias should be replanted to a location that receives only diffuse light. Do not water too much, it is better to keep the soil moist. Apply dilute liquid fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium once every 1-2 weeks.

humidity

Begonia likes warm and humid environment, which should not be changed. During its growth period, it should be placed in a cool, ventilated place with scattered light for maintenance.

In summer, watering should be controlled and fertilization should be stopped to prevent the leaves from turning yellow due to sunlight. Water should be sprayed on the leaves and the surrounding ground every day to ensure the surrounding humidity and cool down.

Fertilization

After late autumn, place the begonia in a semi-lit place, strengthen the management of water and fertilizer, keep the potting soil nutrient-rich, and apply decomposed nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium dilute liquid fertilizer once every 7-10 days.

Winter room temperature

After entering winter, the indoor temperature should be kept above 15℃, and the management of fertilizer and water should be strengthened to allow the crabapple to continue to bloom. At noon, it should be placed in a well-lit place on the balcony for light, which is conducive to its indoor development in winter.
