What to do after hydroponic gardenia grows roots

What to do after hydroponic gardenia grows roots

Hydroponics Method

Let me briefly talk about the hydroponic method of gardenia: select branches grown in the current year, put them in a small bucket of pure water, and fill it with 1/3 water. Change the water once a week, and after 10 days, small buds of about 1 cm will grow. For detailed methods, pay attention to the hydroponic method of gardenia!

Transplanting

In fact, all the previous steps are just preparations. The ultimate goal of hydroponics is to plant the plants in pots and let them bloom and bear fruit. The key after rooting is transplanting!

Transplantation

For weaker branches with more root systems and unstable growth, it is recommended to transplant them. Take the rooted branches out of the water and plant them at home. Dig a 5-8 cm deep hole in the pot, place the rooted branches evenly in it, keep them upright, and then cover them with soil. There is no need to compact it. After 5-10 days, transplant the seedlings if they are in normal condition.

Transplanting

It is best to use nutrient soil for transplanting. The diameter of the flowerpot is about 15 cm. Put half of the nutrient soil in the pot, place the gardenia seedlings in the soil, and then cover it with the other half of the soil. There is no need to deliberately compact it with your hands. Water it thoroughly, place it in a cool place, and add a small amount of water to the pot tray. Replenish the water in the pot tray in time during maintenance.

After being placed in a cool place for 15 days, it can be moved to the sun for short periods of time in the morning and evening, and after another 10 days it can be placed in full sunlight.
